Scholastic Stack: Cast Your Vote

leave a comment »

“Who is your pick for the next President of the United States? You may be too young to vote in the actual U.S. election, but you can make your voice heard in the Scholastic STUDENT Vote for President! Just one day left to cast YOUR vote!

Scholastic Kid Reporter Michael Geheren has been covering the campaigns and even traveled to the Republican National Convention. Here’s why he thinks kids should should speak up on the race for President:

This election is very important for kids because it will effect our future. Although we are not yet able to vote, we can still get involved.

I think that the election poll is a great way to get involved! You can pick the candidate who you think will do the best at helping on the issues that matter most to the younger generation: to our future. I have talked to a number of kids my age, and the issue they think is the most important, of course, is education. Climate change, the war in Iraq, and even the economy rank at the top of the list because these issues will affect us tomorrow.

This election is huge, and students can help their parents get the facts. Also, make sure your parents vote!
